29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section: On or about February 28, 2012, an employee was plastering the exterior of the building under construction from tubular welded scaffolding erected up to approximately 20 feet high without utilizing fall protection, exposing the employee to a fall hazard. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each employee working on scaffolding over 10 feet high is protected from falling by the use of a personal fall arrest system or guard rail protection.
