29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(i): Portable cord and plug connected equipment and flexible cord sets (extension cords) were not visually inspected before use on any shift for external defects (such as loose parts, deformed and missing pins, or damage to outer jacket or insulation) and for evidence of possible internal damage (such as pinched or crushed outer jacket): On or about May 29, 2024, employees engaged in printing activities on the Muller 6 in the Northside area of Taylor Communications located at 9503 F Street, Omaha, Nebraska were exposed to fire, and electrical shock and burn hazards in that the equipment cords were not inspected for damage prior to use when the equipment was relocated. Instances included but were not limited to: i. Syntron Jogger and ii. EVTEC Sheeter.
