29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: a) Hau Processing Labs: On March 12, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to respiratory hazards while wearing tight-fitting respirators while performing laboratory operations. The employer did not ensure that each employee wearing a tight-fitting respirator was medically evaluated to wear a tight-fitting respirator prior to use.
