29 CFR 1926.1153(g)(4): The employer did not designate a competent person to make frequent and regular inspections of job sites, materials, and equipment to implement the written exposure control plan: 1620 Post Road East, Westport CT: On or about December 29, 2023, the employer did not ensure a competent person made inspections of the jobsite to ensure the proper engineering controls and personal protective equipment described in the exposure control plan was used to protect the worker exposed to respirable crystalline silica during tasks such as (but not limited to) using a mini-excavator mounted jackhammer to break up concrete.
