29 CFR 1910.213(n)(3): Feed rolls shall be guarded by a hood or suitable guard to prevent the hands of the operator from coming in contact with the in-running rolls at any point. The guard shall be fastened to the frame carrying the rolls so as to remain in adjustment for any thickness of stock: a) On or about May 17, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 11, the Wadkin 180 Moulder, Company Equipment Inventory Number 0202, initial feed roll was accessible to the Operator. b) On or about May 17, 2022, at the facility located at N1308 Drumlin Drive, Campbellsport, WI, in Building 7, Line 4, the Diehl Machinery Div. Accumold DL 406, Serial Number 2000M-6141-5557, the initial feed roll is accessible to the Operator through the designed hood opening. The Diehl Machinery Div. Accumold DL 406 hood is not interlocked to be required to be closed during operations or fastened to remain closed during operations.
