29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a. 1900 South Ave., Staten Island, NY The employer did not provide employees training in the use of hazardous chemicals. Employees engaged in the servicing and maintenance of heavy construction equipment used chemicals that included, but were not limited to oxygen, acetylene, spray lubricants and cleaners, Encore Petroleum anti-freeze, and Encore Petroleum synthetic SAE 15W-40 CK-4 oil, where the employer failed to provide training on hazards associated with the use of those chemicals. Violation occurred on or about December 21, 2021
