29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: Central Paper Stock, Inc. located at 6665 Jonas Place in Berkeley, MO 63134: The employer failing to protect employees from chemicals and flying particle eye and face hazards to the eyes. The following hazards were observed on or about 11/17/2021. a) The employer failed to require eye protection for employees during forklift refueling procedures. Employees routinely changed out forklift propane tanks without eye protection. This condition exposed employees to pressurized liquid propane. b) The employer failed to require eye protection for employees during machine blow down procedures. Employees used compressed air to clean forklifts and personnel without wearing eye protection. This condition exposed employees to flying particles and debris.
