29 CFR 1915.504(b)(6)(ii): The employer did not post a fire watch when hot-work was close enough to cause ignition thru heat radiation or conduction on combustible materials and/or coatings. (a) Fishing Vessel (FV) Sunset Bay - Reefer Room - On or about June 18th, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fire and explosion while stick welding and grinding in the reefer room with flammable and combustible materials within the space. There was no fire watch posted in the vicinity to extinguish an incipient stage fire.
