29 CFR 1926.502(e)(8)(i): Unless the snaphook is a locking type and designed for the following connections, snaphooks shall not be engaged directly to webbing, rope or wire rope. On or about April 24, 2019, employees fall arrest snaphook were directly attached to the webbing of their lanyards, exposing employees to the unintentional opening of their snap hook. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
