29 CFR 1910.1000(a): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of Total Dust listed in Table Z-1, Limits for Air Contaminants, in excess of 15 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3): Shark Glass Recycling, LLC, Lavonia, GA - An employee sorting glass was exposed to Total Dust of 20 mg/m3, 1.3 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3. This exposure is representative of the employee's 8 hour workday, on or about March 7, 2019. Shark Glass Recycling, LLC, Lavonia, GA - An employee sorting glass was exposed to Total Dust of 47.4 mg/m3, 3.2 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3., on or about March 7, 2019. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
