29 CFr 1910.219(e)(1)(i): Runs of horizontal belts were seven (7) feet or less from floor level, and the belts were not guarded. a) On or about October 19, 2018, or prior thereto: The belts on a motor controlling conveyor speed on the Onion Bin Tipping Machine were not guarded. The belts were 67 inches above ground level and located adjacent to an employee aisle way. Employees accessed this location to clean onion residue. NOTE: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.
