29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell, NJ, Production: The employer did not ensure employees who were exposed to flying fragments from sanding, grinding, sawing, and shearing activities wore appropriate eye or face protection that was provided by the employer, on or about 9/19/2017. b) Facility located at 360 Lambs Road, Sewell, NJ, Production, C Bay: The employer did not ensure employees who were working with the Messler Cutting Systems wore shaded eye protection, on or about 9/19/2017. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
