29 CFR 1910.119(j)(4)(i): The employer did not perform inspection and tests on process equipment. On or about January 11, 2017, in the ammonia refrigeration engine room, the employer failed to perform inspection and tests on process equipment such as, but not limited to: a) Compressor 8 oil pressure differential cutout (high & low). b) Compressor 9 high and low pressure cutout. c) Compressor 10 high temperature cutout. e) Emergency stop buttons inside and outside the engine room. This condition exposes workers to inhalation hazards from an uncontrolled release of toxic ammonia liquid and or vapors.
