29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wear a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: a) On or about June 9, 2016 - Building 6; Head protection for employees using overhead cranes to move/position bus parts in their welding stations/departments was not provided or required to be worn. Employees were exposed to being struck-by steel bus parts that could fall/slip when being moved with the crane. b) On or about June 9, 2016 - Building 6; Head protection for employees using metal carts to move bus parts to/from welding stations/departments was not provided or required. Employees were exposed to bumping into parts with their heads when using carts to move long/irregular shaped steel bus parts.
