29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Clarion Sintered Metals, Inc., 3472 Montmorenci Rd, Ridgway, Pa 15853-Production areas throughout facility- on or about May 21, 2015, and times prior thereto: Employees were potentially exposed to skin irritation hazards while handling materials including but not limited to powdered metals, and HOP E-14 solvent. The employers hazard assessment did not identify the need for the use of appropriate hand protection while handling the powdered metals or E-14 solvent.
