29 CFR 1910.304(g)(5): Grounding path. The path to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures shall be permanent, continuous, and effective. At the time of the inspection, employees were using equipment which did not have a grounding path. In two instances, the path to ground from equipment was not permanent, continuous, and effective. The following equipment was missing a path to ground: a) In the dock area, a NAPA Nitro Air portable air compressors power cord was missing a ground pin on the plug. b) In the maintenance area/shop, a Maxx Air High Velocity Fan, approximately 43 inch diameter, was missing a ground pin on the plug.
