29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Employees engaged in grain handling operations at the worksite located at N Topping Ave, Kansas City, MO64120 were exposed to caught in and entangled hazards. The employer did not ensure employees were protected with one or more methods of machine guarding in the workplace. Instances of exposure include but are not limited to: Instance 1: Inadequately guarded head pulley sections on north and south conveyors in old house bin floor/deck. Instance 2: Inadequately guarded head pulley sections on east, middle, and west belts in middle house bin floor/deck. Instance 3: Inadequately guarded head pulley sections on north and south belts in big house bin floor/deck. Instance 4: Inadequately guarded electric motor on conveyor 21 middle house bin floor/deck.
