29 CFR 1910.215(a)(2): Abrasive wheel(s) used on grinding machinery were not provided with safety guard(s) which covered the spindle end, nut, flange projections: (a)On or about May 13, 2024, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from struck-by hazards involving a Dayton 3/4 hp motor combination pedestal grinder/buffer which was not provided with safety guards covering the exposed shaft and spindle end and nut flange projections. This condition exposed employees to caught-in hazards, abrasions, and lacerations.
