29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. At an establishment located at N2915 County Road AB in Luxemburg, Wisconsin: a) On or about May 03, 2024, employees operating the Wexxar (Model:WF-30T Serial No:4956) located in the 1-221 Box Packaging Room were exposed to laceration, amputation, and crushing hazards associated with the exit side of the box maker. The machine was not effectively guarded to prevent exposure to these hazards.
