29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords may be used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Hard-service cord and junior hard-service cord No. 14 and larger may be repaired if spliced so that the splice retains the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced. a) On or about March 12, 2024, with respect to an establishment located at 1001 Discovery Road, Green Bay, WI 54311, employees were exposed to potential shock hazards when several multiple outlet extension cords were found being used in series along the CP-3 line to provide power to machinery throughout the line. b) On or about March 12, 2024, with respect to an establishment located at 1001 Discovery Road, Green Bay, WI 54311, employees were exposed to potential shock hazards when several multiple outlet extension cords were found being used in series along the CP-4 line to provide power to machinery throughout the line.
