Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.146(c)(2): The employer did not inform exposed employees, by posting danger signs or by any other equally effective means, of the existence and location of and the danger posed by the permit spaces: a.) PJ Murphy Forest Products Corp., - on or about 3/12/2024 and at times prior thereto: Employees periodically work in and around confined spaces. There was no signage to inform employees the areas are permit required confined spaces. Areas included, but were not limited to, drum roller dryer, hopper with auger inside, boiler, and shaker/dust system. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
