29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)Fremar, LLC at 41065 270th Street, Dimock, SD 57331: On or about and at times prior to April 3, 2023, the employer did not ensure the top side of the drag conveyor on the catwalk level of the south leg was guarded. This condition exposed employees to caught-in and amputation hazards associated with the unguarded drag conveyor.
