29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury such as hand, face, arms as well as permanent impairment encountered. a) 20262 Donovan Road Georgetown, DE - On or about September 2, 2022, it was determined that the employees performing smelting operations which involves the opening and closing of the smelter's door did not wear any personal protective equipment which would involve eye wear and protective heat resistant clothing against the possibility of a splash from liquid metal. The furnace temperature was determined to be between 1500 and 1600 degrees Fahrenheit.
