29 CFR 1910.1200(h): Employee information and training. 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3): Training. Employee training shall include at least: 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): The physical, health, simple asphyxiation, combustible dust, and pyrophoric gas hazards, as well as hazards not otherwise classified, of the chemicals in the work area; a. On or about February 22, 2022, the employer failed to include health hazards associated with spray painting for the painter. Hazardous chemicals used in spray painting operations include Sher Kem high gloss metal finishing enamel and includes the hazardous ingredients toluene, titanium dioxide and light aliphatic hydrocarbons. Health hazard statements associated with this chemical include H335 - May cause respiratory irritation, H336 - May cause drowsiness or dizziness and H351 - suspected of causing cancer.
