29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): Central Paper Stock, Inc. located at 6665 Jonas Place in Berkeley, MO 63134: The employer is failing to protect employees from flying debris, and chemical hazards. This condition was most recently observed on or about 11/17/2021 when the employer failed to adequately assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present for all job functions which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as, but not limited to, the following instances: a) The use of appropriate hand eye/face protection while changing liquid propane tanks on powered industrial trucks (PIT); b) The use of eye protection while using compressed air to clean equipment (PITs) or personnel.
