29 CFR 1910.1052(h)(1): Where needed to prevent methylene chloride induced skin or eye irritation, the employer did not provide clean protective clothing and equipment resistant to methylene chloride, at no cost to the employee, and/or did not ensure that each affected employee used it: a) Shop: On or about February 10, 2022, an employee used Formica F-200-038, which contains 35 to 60% Methylene Chloride, to fuse the edge bands onto flakeboard panel edges as part of the closet component manufacture. The employer did not provide adequate gloves to the employee who sprayed Formica F-200-038, the employee wore latex dipped nylon gloves that were meant to protect against abrasions, but were not adequate for use with Methylene Chloride.
