29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(4)(i): Employees were allowed to consume food or beverages at a worksite where chromium (VI) was present; however, the employer did not ensure that the eating and drinking areas were maintained as free as practicable of chromium (VI): Building 211T Break Trailer: Employees perform prepping and painting operations with Alodine 1201 and PPG 44GN007 Base Component, both containing chromium ingredients. In the following locations where employees take their breaks, hexavalent chromium was found positive on surfaces from wipe samples: a) Refrigerator handle b) Computer keyboard c) Tabletop d) Microwave buttons Employees were exposed to irritation hazards associated with hexavalent chromium.
