29 CFR 1910.178(b)(12): The atmosphere or location was not classified as to whether it was hazardous or nonhazardous prior to the consideration of industrial trucks being used therein and the type of industrial truck required was not provided as in paragraph (d) of this section for such location. A) Building #31: As per paragraph (d) of the standard the employer at this facility had not performed an assessment for PIT classification determination when working in the flammable storage building (Class I, Div. II) prior to operating electric forklift(s) in a potentially hazardous atmosphere. Condition observed on or about 8/09/19.
