29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): The employer does not protect employees from debris and dust hazards. At 10047 Compton Street, Belgrade, Missouri, specifically inside of the Feed Mill, the employer did not perform a workplace hazard assessment to identify the need for eye protection from flying dust or debris resulting from the use of compressed air for cleaning purposes. This violation was noted on 05/22/19. The employer does not protect employees from arc flash hazards. At 10047 Compton Street, Belgrade, Missouri, specifically inside of the Feed Mill, the employer did not perform a workplace hazard assessment to identify the need for suitable protection from the hazard of arc flash when employees insert knives or tools into energized starter motors. This violation was noted on 05/22/19.
