29 CFR 1910.307(c): Electrical equipment in a hazardous (classified) location was not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: a) 3 Terminal Road, New Brunswick, NJ - Tablet Press/Encapsulation Department/Individual rooms Electrical installations including, but not limited to, 20 amp/GFI/GFNT2 and 20 amp/250 volt duplex rec/Industrial Grade/5462 (outlet receptacles) used for plugging in tablet press machines, were not intrinsically safe, explosion proof, approved for Class II, Division 2 locations or safe for a Class II, Division II location. Dusts which accumulated on the floors and on tablet press machine surfaces during the encapsulation process, had explosion severities of 1.81 and a Kst value of 22.72. Condition observed on or about 3/15/2019. WRITTEN ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
