29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)Dakota Bodies, LLC at 201 20th Avenue Southeast, Watertown, SD 57201: On or about and at times prior to October 30, 2018, the employer did not ensure employees operating the Sidewinder M Hem, Inc. horizontal bandsaw were protected from laceration hazards in that, the unused portion of the blade was not appropriately guarded during use. This condition exposed employees to laceration hazards. (b)Dakota Bodies, LLC at 201 20th Avenue Southeast, Watertown, SD 57201: On or about and at times prior to October 30, 2018, the employer did not ensure employee operating the Johnson vertical band saw were protected from laceration hazards in that, the unused portion of the blade was not appropriately guarded during use. This condition exposed employees to laceration hazards.
