Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(viii): The employer did not assure that each employee had been trained by a competent person qualified in the standards contained in subpart M. The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards. This was most recently documented on or about October 1, 2018 at a jobsite located at or near 16875 Industrial Park Drive, Bowling Green, Missouri. The employer did not ensure employees exposed to fall hazards had been trained by a competent person to properly select suitable anchorage points on roof trusses for personal fall protection. Employees working from the top plate and bottom chord were attaching fall protection with 6 foot lanyards to roof trusses that were not secured or braced.
