29 CFR 1926.1204(d)(8): The employer shall provide rescue and emergency equipment needed to comply with paragraph (i) of this section, except to the extent that the equipment is provided by rescue services: On July 7, 2017, at Wet Well A-16, three workers entered a permit required confined space and were overcome by hydrogen sulfide gas where there was no rescue and emergency equipment available to use for response.
