29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer: On or about April 25, 2016, the employer failed to ensure that slings used for the movement and suspension of loads in the facility were inspected prior to their uses. Deficiencies were found with slings in the facility which a daily inspection would have observed and removed from service.
