29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer did not train each employee who was exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of this section. The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program. a. MCM Precision Castings, Inc. located in Weston, Ohio: On or about November 3, 2014, the employer did not ensure employees exposed to levels of high noise exceeding 85 dBA as an eight hour time weighted average were provided with information and training on the following: 1. The effect of noise on hearing; 2. The advantages and disadvantages of various types of hearing protection; 3. Instructions for fitting, use and care of hearing protection; 4. The purpose of the audiometric testing and an explanation of the testing procedures.
