29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii) Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: a) On, or at dates prior to, March 13, 2013, employees were exposed to hazard of electrical shock because the outer insulation of electrical conductors had pulled free from its device or fitting on a wall mounted fan near the livestock holding pen. b) Flexible cord entering a junction box near the jawl line reconditioning sink on the cut floor did not have appropriate fitting to prevent pull on terminal screws. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
