29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by moving saw blades: (a) Maintenance Shop Kysor Johnson horizontal band saw, model 1, serial number 19928, used to cut metal, had no guarding on a 14-inch section between the left guide roll and the left band wheel guard and had no guarding on a 6.5-inch section between the right guide roll and the right band wheel guard, on or about May 18, 2012. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and shall state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
