Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/18/10 Location:North Side of Building Condition:Two employees did not utilize the existing seatbelt while operating the all-terrain forklift. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct these hazards, are to utilize the installed restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1, "Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks," and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000, "Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks."
