Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 02/08/11 Location:Steel Shop Condition:Employees operate a Hyster 150 diesel powered forklift without a seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to purchase and install a seatbelt. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
