Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a). The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:01/27/10 Location:Automatic Shop Equipment:Hyster-80, Powered Industrial Truck Condition:Employees operated a powered industrial truck that lacked a seat belt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install a seatbelt. The proposed penalty for this item has been reduced by 50for effective and efficient abatement during the inspection.
