29 CFR 1960.8(b): The head of the agency shall comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards applicable to the agency: Ground floor stairwell of the tower, a 44 x 48 inch, 3/4 inch thick sheet of unrated plywood was attached to the wall, used for mounting electrical switches for the pressurization system. Employees were exposed to smoke and fire hazards. Reference: Alternate Standard, D.2, Interior Finishes. All interior finishes must complay with NFPA-101, 6-5 for Class A or Class B flame spread ratings. Reference: 1910.37(a)(1) Exit routes must be kept free of explosive or highly flammable furnishings or other decorations. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is completed.
