29 CFR 1910.119(d)(3)(i)(F): Process safety information pertaining to the equipm ent did not include the design codes and standards employed: This violation was observed on or about 1/19/2010, where the employer did not obtain or develop the design code and standard information used in the manufacture and/or constructio n of process equipment on the EC2 platform. The employer acquired the platform i n 2004 and did not obtain the design codes, specification and standards used in the manufacture and/or construction of the process equipment. This exposed emplo yees and contract employees involved in the process to fire, explosion and chemical exposure by not having t he necessary and required information to identify and understand the potential h azards of the process. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19(d), within 10 calendar days of the date of the citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that i t is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps it is takin g to ensure that the design codes and standards are obtained or determined for p rocess and associated equipment.
