North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)facility wide -- operational tests were not conducted on all hoists before being placed into operation, throughout the facility. REFERENCE: ANSI B30.11-1998, Section 11-2.2, Paragraph 11- 2.2.1. Inspections Records. NOTE:Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to conduct operational tests on all hoists in the facility as required by the above referenced standard.d
