Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard: STRUCK BY
P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of being struck by falling metal: A) Warehouse #7 - Employee walk and park their vehicles in an area where a metal wall is falling down. This exposed employees to a hazard of being struck by falling sections of metal, on or about 3/21/97. Other feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard would be to barricade the area off or secure the metal panels back in place.
