29 CFR 1910.272(j)(1): The employer shall develop and implement a written housekeeping program that establishes the frequency and method(s) determined best to reduce accumulations of fugitive grain dust on ledges, floors, equipment, and other exposed surfaces. Jobsite located at 217 N. 10th Street, Blair, NE: The employer failed to develop a housekeeping program that meets the provisions of paragraphs 1-4 of this section. This would include a program to ensure that grain spills at the site, such as the one observed near the base of the indoor bucket conveyor, are removed from the work area. Abatement certification is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
