29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i):Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): a.) Viking Tool & Gage, Inc. 11210 State Highway 18 Conneaut Lake, PA 16316: on or about 12-16-2024, and times prior thereto: Employees are exposed to hazards associated with an open electrical cover on the 180V Emerson motor (serial #00H018919) at the un-coiler in the stamping area. The bottom bolt was missing from the electrical cover with the cover adjusted to the side exposing employees to the energized wires. b.) Viking Tool & Gage, Inc. 11210 State Highway 18 Conneaut Lake, PA 16316: on or about 12-16-2024, and times prior thereto: Employees are exposed to hazards associated with the Black Box DC motor feeder controller missing the top cover. Electrical tape was used as a cover on the top of the 120 V motor controller panel at the un-coiler in the stamping area. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
