Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(A):For electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized, the depth of the working space in the direction of access to live parts (as measured from the live parts where they were exposed or from the enclosure front or opening where they were enclosed) was less than indicated in Table S-1 of Subpart S of Part 1910: 865 Quaker Highway Uxbridge, MA 01569: On or about May 13, 2024,and continuing after for multiple days, the employer did not ensure a working space of 36 inches in depth was maintained in front of an energized electrical panel that employees may be required to access in the southwest corner of the maintenance bay Although the Area Office held a conference with the employer prior to issuing this citation and the others now being issued in this inspection, the issuance of these citations does not represent the end of the inspection. The inspection is still open, due to the employer's failure to comply with the subpoenas that OSHA issued and served during the inspection. The Acting Secretary of Labor has filed a petition for subpoena enforcement in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, as part of which the Asking Secretary has asked that the statute of limitations for OSHA to issue citations be tolled.
