29 CFR 1910.1026(e)(1):The employer did not establish a regulated area wherever an employee's exposure to airborne concentrations of chromium (VI) was, or could reasonably be expected to be, in excess of the permissible exposure limit: On or about April 10, 2024, the employer did not establish a regulated are for the welding area where an employee's exposure to airborne concentrations of chromium (VI) resulted in excess of the permissible exposure limit of 0.005 mg/m3. An employee welding on stainless steel was found to have an exposure to chromium (VI) of 0.016 mg/m3.
