29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(ii):Lockout devices and tagout devices were utilized for other purposes than controlling energy: At a facility located at 127 Claxton avenue, Carthage, MO 64836, employees were exposed to crushed by, amputation and caught in hazards. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards when locks that were identical to those used for lockout/tagout purposes were to be used for purposes such as, but not limited to, attaching signs to the cage near the pallet wrapper machine in the palletizer section of the facility.
