Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about October 25, 2023, employees were exposed to Polyester / Triglycidyl Isocyanurate H.G., a corrosive and an irritant, when manually spray painting the parts on the line passing through the paint booth. The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. Employees were specifically not trained on the health hazards relating to Polyester/Triglycidly Isocyanurate H.G, such as its corrosiveness and irritation. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
